Job Description

Job Overview The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. Assisting with the distribution process, you will be responsible for handling receipts of inbound freight to the warehouse; loading outbound orders and transfers onto carrier trucks while utilizing a variety of forklifts and other heavy machinery; inventory management, shipping and receiving, and materials handling; and assisting when needed on order fulfillment picking and packing; adhering to OSHA safety protocols and housekeeping of the building. Background check and pre-employment screening required. What you'll do Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials efficiently. Manage inventory control using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately. Identify errors and correcting. Execute order fulfillment tasks, including picking and packing items for shipment with precision. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations. Participate in stocking and organizing products within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure mechanical integrity and safety. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against packing lists and processing documentation. Engage in heavy lifting and materials handling as required to support warehouse operations.
Receiving and unloading shipments:
checking for damage, verifying quantities, assuring documentation. Scanning and logging inventory. Sorting and storing materials. Organizing inventory in designated locations within the warehouse. Picking and packing orders. Loading trucks and trailers. Restocking shelves and bins Operating warehouse equipment. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace Following safety protocols. Performs other related duties as assigned. Basic qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, showcasing your ability to thrive in a busy setting. Familiarity with inventory management practices and warehouse distribution processes. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues effectively. Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks or order pickers. Background in manufacturing or construction that demonstrates strong physical capabilities. Power Industrial Truck Certification to operate machinery.
