Position Summary:
The Experienced Material Handler supports daily operations of a warehouse and yard area dedicated to fulfilling the material needs of our utility customers. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient flow of materials, maintaining a safe and organized warehousing operation, and maintaining accurate records of on-hand inventory. The ideal candidate is a reliable self-starter who is eager to learn, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.

Site Manager Key Responsibilities:
Working in a team environment to unload, load and move materials inside and outside of the warehouse Safely operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and telehandlers Picking, packing and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently Continuously checking the accuracy of work orders Championing effective inventory management practices Reporting low supplies, inventory shortages, and equipment maintenance issues Adhering to and promoting safety and security policies and procedures Utilizing the company's Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate, efficient flow of materials Accurately cataloging and tracking goods Performing cycle counts as necessary Ensuring the cleanliness and working order of our warehouse operation
Qualifications:
2-5 years of warehouse experience Background in Utility materials (Poles, Transformers, Breakers, Wire, etc.) is a plus Forklift certification a plus Comfort and experience using pallet jacks and dollies a plus High school diploma or GED Works well in a team-based environment Excellent communication skills; able to communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers to manage fast-paced daily shifts; stays calm and professional under pressure Strong attention to detail Reliable and able to meet the work schedule requirements; willing to work overtime and pitch in as needed Takes the initiative to get work done and help others Familiarity with modern warehouse tools, including barcode scanners, RF devices, and inventory management software Understanding of workplace safety standards and hazard protocols
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more) regularly across an 8-hour shift Stamina to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
Compensation:
$25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
