Material Handler Rochester Midland Corporation - 3.3 Rochester, NY Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Lifting equipment High school diploma or GED Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Rochester Midland Corporation (RMC) is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of specialty chemicals for food, sanitation, water treatment, legionella control, facility maintenance, restroom odor control and industrial cleaning. RMC is committed to developing sustainable solutions for health, productivity and the environment. RMC is looking for an experienced Material Handler for its Aurora, Illinois location. The Material Handler supports production by moving materials with a forklift.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supports the blending staff by providing raw material chemicals as well as returns them to inventory. Complete daily forklift inspection checklist. Required to move packaging raw materials to appropriate areas. Perform inventory transactions on a handheld scanning device as needed. Ability to use forklift attachments as needed. Removes finished goods from the manufacturing lines. May be required to stretch wrap or band products prior to transferring them to the warehouse. May be required to remove finished goods from the conveyor and place on the appropriate skid. Confirms quantities of finished goods on skids before transferring to the warehouse. May be required to aid in unloading of raw materials with or without a forklift. Adhere to all safety, OSHA, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements including proper respirator fit testing and usage Maintains work area based on housekeeping procedures. Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION/ SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION
: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
Forklift experience required Experience operating machinery is a plus Manufacturing environment experience is a plus
SKILLS:
Mechanical aptitude Ability to be forklift certified by RMC Ability to use a handheld scanning device

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Visual acuity necessary to read labels, tickets, etc. Proximity to chemicals, with potential exposure to chemicals and chemical odors. Proximity to forklift traffic. Occasional extra hours. Lifting up to 55 lbs. is required. Required use of personal protective equipment which includes a cleanly shaved face for the respirator program. Standing for extended periods of time.
