Warehouse Associate (Cross Dock / Freight Consolidation)

Job Summary Join our dynamic logistics team as a Warehouse Associate specializing in Cross Dock and Freight Consolidation! Duties Efficiently load and unload shipments using forklifts, while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory, process shipments, and update records in real-time. Perform order picking with handheld pickers and manual methods to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements. Consolidate freight from multiple sources at cross dock stations to streamline distribution flow and reduce transit times. Assist with shipping & receiving tasks by verifying shipment contents, preparing freight for dispatch, and inspecting loads for quality control. Qualifications Proven warehouse distribution experience with a strong understanding of order picking, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and certifications are a plus. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and safety systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picker technology to enhance accuracy and productivity. Prior experience in construction or logistics environments is beneficial; warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for growth opportunities. Ability to perform by standing and lifting safely for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of OSHA standards ensures safe operations within a fast-paced setting.
