Job Description

Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions between Shipping, Receiving and Assembly areas as directed by the supervisors and managers. This role is required to work cohesively with others on the team to achieve department goals. Essential Duties
  • Actively support the company's culture and business mission by always putting TCP's people and its customers first.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be cross trained for multiple job functions within the Distribution Department.
  • Work cohesively with others toward department goals, create a positive working environment and offer support and assistance to enhance team performance; working collaboratively with co-workers and management to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Actively participate in team roles and team development, including continuous improvement initiatives to meet cycle time, schedule and quality objectives.
  • Keep work area clean and safe. Assure trash is removed from work area in a timely manner and is properly disposed. All unused material is properly returned to stock. Conform to departmental 5S guidelines.
  • Verify products meet or exceed stated requirements related to workmanship, engineering change orders, production material notices, evaluations samples, and test criteria.
Assembly:
working on an assembly line to produce finished goods for shipments. Mechanical assembly using excellent manual dexterity, depth perception, and attention to detail.
  • Comply with safety guidelines, policies, and procedure including proper PPE.
  • Follow all departmental Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines.
Shipping:
Picking and packing preparation and customer orders up to 75lbs.
    Shipping/Receiving:
    Loading outbound and inbound trailers up to weights up to 75lbs.
    • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
    • Other responsibilities or projects assigned by manager. Experience/Requirements
    • Must have 2 - 5 years warehouse experience
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, standing and/or walking 8-10 hours daily working manual and electronic equipment
    • Must have forklift experience with working in high and narrow aisles.
    • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis as required.
    • Coordinate and interact effectively with other functions (engineering, shipping/receiving, etc.) as required.
    • Must be willing to work overtime as assigned by assembly supervisor.
    • Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (SKAs)
    • Ability to work in a warehouse setting with temperatures fluctuation from hot to cold throughout the year.
    • Previous experience with the use of scanners a plus.
    • Compute basic math and problem solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and follow directions given.
    • Able to safely meet performance expectations for quality, teamwork, productivity and housekeeping.
    • Able to work as part of a team and cross train into other jobs with similar functional requirements.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with others as a team; shares knowledge as needed and has the ability to work effectively together on the team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
    • Must be able to work until all work is completed; extending work time past normal shift end times. Education/Training
    • High school or GED Equivalent Physical/Environmental
    • Job responsibilities are generally performed in warehouse business environment.
    • Position frequently requires lifting, bending, stooping, or operating heavy equipment. Frequent grasping, pushing, pulling and lifting of pallets and product from floor to waist and shoulder heights.
    • Position requires frequent talking, hearing, and vision with majority of the day standing, walking and reaching.
    • Continuous lifting between 10 and 15 lbs, frequent lifting up to 75 lbs, occasional lifting up to 125 lbs, and assisted lifting in excess of 125 lbs. Use of industrial equipment including Power Industrial Equipment, carts and other equipment as needed.
    • Position may require moderate work at elevated heights.
    • Workers who work on loading platforms may be exposed to all kinds of weather.
    Pay:
    $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
