Job Summary:
Oversees the management and training for the Material Handlers team for the manufacturing plant
Essential Functions:
Coordinates and ensures the inventory and cycle counts are done daily Completes training of new associates as needed, using the approved training matrix Oversees the identification and handling of non-conforming product Coordinating coverage for absences on the team Knowledge of how to read a Quality Standard Good understanding of the Nifco Quality Policy Basic material knowledge Follows TPM guidelines Oversees the cleaning of grinders Oversees the cleaning of dryer and blenders Oversees the cleaning material bin/concentrate blender Ensures material hose to press hopper is cleaned Coordinates the delivering of material for new job Removing/WIP RETURN previous material Coordinates material preparation Oversees the mixing of concentrate Coordinates the delivery of material to molding presses Ensures that all required material transfers are complete Ensures material area is always clean Ensures FIFO is being followed Ensures material is labeled correctly Is familiar with and can locate SDS sheets and is familiar with OSHA's Right to Know policy Has basic Environmental knowledge Completes safety orientation Forklift operation certification All other duties assigned by management
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Skills/Experience/Requirements:
Forklift certification required (by Nifco) Knowledge of injection molding process and raw materials Excellent verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities Proven ability to handle distribution issues Knowledge and experience handling quality concerns Must be able to work independently with very little supervision Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company Basic computer skills Must be able to lift 60lbs.
