Job Description

Material Handler $18/hr - 1st Shift Job Description The Material Handler supports daily operations by accurately picking, staging, and preparing products for assembly and shipment in a clean aerospace facility. This role involves working with RF scanners, pallet jacks, and various hand tools while following detailed work orders and maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. Responsibilities Manually pick and stage products throughout the facility in an accurate and timely manner. Utilize RF scanners and handheld devices to scan, track, and verify products and inventory movements. Read and follow work orders and work tickets to ensure correct items and quantities are pulled and processed. Operate pallet jacks safely to move materials and products around the facility. Lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks. Properly stage all orders for assembly or shipment, ensuring they are clearly labeled and organized. Support shipping and receiving activities by pulling, packing, and preparing orders for outbound shipments. Perform order picking, order entry, and order pulling tasks with attention to detail and accuracy. Assist with parts inspection and inspection assembly to ensure products meet quality standards. Apply labels accurately to products, parts, or packages as required. Conduct basic data entry related to inventory, orders, and material movements. Maintain inventory accuracy by following established procedures for picking, packing, and storage. Use hand tools and power tools as needed to support production, assembly line, and general labor tasks. Follow all facility security procedures, including presenting valid identification to access the secured environment. Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational guidelines within the aerospace facility. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a clean aerospace environment that emphasizes safety, organization, and precision. The role follows a day shift schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and involves frequent use of RF scanners, handheld devices, pallet jacks, hand tools, and power tools. The facility operates as a secured site, requiring valid identification to enter and comply with security protocols. The work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving materials throughout the facility while maintaining a neat and orderly workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
