PM Pay:
$20.00•$23.00 per hour Position Overview We are currently seeking dependable and motivated Material Handlers to join a growing steel manufacturing operation. This position is ideal for candidates with experience working in steel, metals, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving, staging, loading, and unloading steel products and raw materials while supporting production operations. Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, drill presses, and other manufacturing equipment is highly preferred. Essential Responsibilities Safely move steel materials throughout the facility using overhead cranes and forklifts. Load and unload steel products, raw materials, and finished goods. Stage materials for production and shipment. Assist machine operators and production personnel as needed. Operate drill presses and other fabrication equipment. Read work orders and production instructions. Inspect materials for quality and accuracy. Maintain inventory organization and material flow throughout the plant. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with general warehouse and production duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in steel manufacturing, metal fabrication, steel service centers, or industrial manufacturing required. Experience operating an overhead crane required. Forklift experience required. Material handling experience in a manufacturing environment required. Drill press experience strongly preferred. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Experience working with steel plate, tubing, structural steel, sheet metal, or other metal products preferred. Strong attention to safety and detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Must wear steel-toed boot
