We specialize in solar modules, inverters, batteries, racking, and balance-of-system components. Our mission is to make solar procurement faster, easier, and more transparent. Position Overview Sunhub is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Warehouse Associate to support the receiving, storage, packaging, and shipment of solar equipment and related products. This role requires experience handling high-value and fragile materials such as solar panels, inverters, batteries, electrical components, racking systems, and other renewable energy equipment. The ideal candidate understands the importance of damage prevention, accurate documentation, inventory control, and safe material handling practices. Candidates with forklift experience and a strong background in packaging and shipping fragile equipment are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inspection Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Carefully inspect all incoming products for shipping damage, shortages, or discrepancies. Take clear photographs of incoming shipments, damaged goods, packaging conditions, and serial numbers when required for quality control, insurance, warranty, or carrier claims. Report discrepancies, shortages, concealed damage, or quality concerns promptly to management. Maintain detailed records of receiving issues and follow through until resolution. Packaging & Shipping Prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently for shipment. Package fragile solar equipment using proper protective materials and techniques to minimize transit damage. Ensure pallet construction and shrink-wrapping meet transportation and carrier standards. Secure solar panels, batteries, inverters, and electrical equipment to prevent movement, breakage, and weather-related damage during transit. Take photographs of completed outbound shipments and pallets before carrier pickup for documentation and liability protection. Verify shipping labels, quantities, and documentation before dispatch. Material Handling Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment while handling high-value inventory with extreme care. Load and unload trucks while minimizing risk of product damage. Move inventory within the warehouse following established safety and storage procedures. Maintain proper storage conditions for sensitive electrical and solar equipment. Inventory & Record Keeping Maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems and inventory tracking tools. Conduct cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory audits. Track and document damaged, missing, or returned products. Maintain organized records of receiving issues, shipping claims, inventory discrepancies, and corrective actions. Follow up on open warehouse issues until closure and communicate status updates to management. Safety & Quality Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and attention to detail. Identify opportunities to improve packaging methods and reduce shipping-related damages. Qualifications Required 2+ years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, or shipping experience. Experience handling fragile, high-value equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift. Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems. Ability to document issues accurately and maintain organized records. Preferred Solar, electrical, construction supply, industrial equipment, or distribution warehouse experience. Forklift certification and proven forklift operating experience. Experience packaging and shipping fragile products. Experience with freight carriers, LTL shipments, and damage claim documentation. Familiarity with inventory management software and barcode scanning systems. Key Success Factors Exceptional care when handling solar panels, batteries, inverters, and other fragile equipment. Strong documentation habits, including shipment photography and discrepancy reporting. Consistent focus on reducing warehouse and transit-related damage. Accountability for inventory accuracy and shipment quality. Professional communication and follow-up on warehouse issues.
Compensation Competitive hourly wage:
$20-$26 per hour (based on experience) Overtime opportunities
