General Labor - Wood Shop

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a General Laborer in the Wood Shop, where your hands-on skills and enthusiasm will help craft high-quality wood products and support various construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a wide range of carpentry and fabrication techniques. You'll play a vital part in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Assist with cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing wood components using hand tools and power tools. Prepare materials for projects by measuring, schematics reading, and fabricating components as needed. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow on the shop floor or construction site. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by properly storing tools and materials after use. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery such as CNC machines Experience Prior experience working in construction sites or manufacturing environments is highly valued. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings is preferred. Hands-on experience with carpentry disciplines such as trim carpentry, framing carpentry, or cabinetry is advantageous. Knowledge of using hand tools (e.g., saws, drills), power tools (e.g., sanders, nail guns), and CNC machinery is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during tasks like tile laying or water damage restoration. A proactive attitude toward safety procedures and willingness to learn new skills related to fabrication processes.
