Job Description
Summary of Role The Lead Material Handler is essential to our production operations, ensuring the precise and timely flow of materials and components while maintaining inventory accuracy between our physical stock and the NetSuite system. As the primary subject matter expert in the warehouse for inventory control processes, material transactions, and system integrity, this role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency. Collaboration with purchasing, production, planning, and finance teams is key to preventing recurring inventory errors and enhancing inventory integrity. Additionally, the Lead Material Handler oversees coordination for all material handling activities, including work order fulfillment, inventory control, and warehouse organization. In this role, you will prioritize daily tasks, swiftly address issues that may impact production, and uphold the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency, and organization. By working closely with production, warehouse, and operations teams, you will ensure that materials are available precisely when and where they are needed, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and workflows. How You'll Succeed Demonstrate a solid understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and how they support production and assembly processes. Demonstrate a solid understanding of work orders and assembly builds, including how they are created and executed. Pick and process orders accurately and efficiently to meet production needs. Ensure all documentation, paperwork, and bin transfers are completed daily and with a high level of accuracy. Support inventory management by completing and overseeing daily cycle counts. Maintain a clean, organized, and functional warehouse environment. Communicate effectively with internal teams to provide timely updates on materials, orders, and any issues impacting production. What You Bring High School Diploma or higher 5+ years of experience in material handling or warehouse operations in a lead or senior capacity. Working knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and assembly processes. Experience using ERP systems, shipping software, and basic computer applications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in inventory and documentation. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and internal stakeholders. Ability to prioritize work, stay organized, and support shifting production needs.
