Warehouse Associate/Floater 1380 East Kibby Street, Lima, OH 45804 From $15.50 an hour - Full-time From $15.50 an hour -
Full-time Summary:
The Warehouse Associate / Floater supports the daily operations of West Ohio Food Bank by assisting with the receipt, storage, inventory management, and distribution of food and non-food products. This position provides flexible support across warehouse, distribution, and facility operations, helping ensure products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while supporting the organization's mission to serve neighbors experiencing food insecurity. This person will also ensure all warehouse operations are in alignment with American Institute of Baking (AIB), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS), Feeding America (FA), and any other oversight organizations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Load and unload trucks and deliveries Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or distribution Stock pallets, and storage areas Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment (certification provided by WOFB) Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and work areas Assist with inventory counts and rotation of products Move materials and supplies throughout the facility Help with building maintenance and miscellaneous warehouse tasks Complete inspections and reporting as requested for AIB Sorting & repacking donated food as needed Drive cargo van, pick-up truck, 24' refrigerated box trucks if needed (training provided). Follow all safety procedures and company policies Work in multiple departments as needed to support operations (distribution efforts, etc.) Ability to withhold confidential matters pertaining to WOFB from external stakeholders. Follow and enforce all policies and procedures of WOFB. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following safety practices and policies stated in AIB policy and procedures manuals. Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous warehouse, distribution, inventory, logistics, or food service experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Certification to operate motorized forklift or willingness and ability to obtain certification. Flexible and willing to help and work in different areas as workload requires Ability to adapt to changing work priorities daily Reliable and safety conscious Basic math and communication skills Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Forklift certification is a plus Advanced Microsoft Office/Excel experience required. Ability to follow standard operating procedures.

From $15.50 per hour
