Job Description

The Lead Injection Molding Material Handler is to assist the Shift Supervisor in the handling of materials, technical support for mixers, dryers, grinders/shredders, and train Utilities in all procedures for preparing the work centers. The Lead Injection Molding Material Handler will possess an elevated knowledge for cleaning secondary and press equipment, production, maintain production, and moving product where necessary Responsibilities Ensure floor condition before and end of shift is functional and organized, raw materials are stocked, and finished goods put away per the proper procedures Ensure that resins are present and prepared to support all running and upcoming jobs, including: concentrates, additives, drying, or other requirements as specified and notify Shift Supervisor immediately if shortages are found. Maintain resin at locations by raking and/or tipping. Ensure that all required materials (packaging, components, fixtures, etc.) are maintained for smooth and efficient production. Notify Shift Supervisor immediately if something is unavailable Ensure all material handling equipment is operating properly (mixers, dryers, grinders/shedders, hoppers) and are properly cleaned and properly marked. Ensure that all resins, regrinds, blends, and equipment are properly tagged filled out per the BOM Location tear down, cleaning grinders, work centers, hoppers, blenders, and bins, moving equipment and product, weigh resin returns and document, and other tasks as needed Job set up per the BOM, including setting up dryers, mixers, and secondary equipment, stocking resins, components, and packaging, filling out tags, and other tasks as needed Monitor scrap levels and ensure regrind is properly handled, including grinding, cutting up scrap, and emptying or hooking up grinders. Support maintaining minimal scrap levels and report concerns to the Shift Supervisor Support required scanning to the Work Centers, Raw Materials, WIP, or Finished goods locations Record data pertaining to job progress on Production Reports, tablets, or other documentation as required. Includes ability to count, record, and use calculator, tablet, hand scanner, tape measure, scales, and read and write Stock all work centers with at least two hours required materials for next shift at the end of shift Ensure that all work center areas and aisle ways are swept and cleaned during shift Empty all garbage cans and place in proper areas at all work centers at the end of shift Assist with automatic presses that are assigned to the Lead Team if directed Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition according to company standards, including indoor/outdoor storage areas Clean and care for assigned areas, equipment, and grounds, including taking out trash and purge Make minor maintenance repairs or upkeep Report any safety issues in their work area to the Shift Supervisor immediately Other duties and secondary functions as assigned Job Requirements Stand for long periods Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds Forklift certification Prior experience as Machine Operator at Moore Industries preferred
