Description American Excelsior Company is actively seeking a Rebaler Operator to join our 2nd Shift Erosion Control Division (ESD) team. Our Norwalk branch is expanding and looking to grow its team of valued production associates to run a brand new machine in our Erosion Control department. These positions are entry level with many opportunities for growth and development. Come be a part of a stable, established, and growing company! Key Responsibilities Prep and organize strings and other raw materials in work area Operate horizontal baler machines and associated waste conveyors Sweep and shovel straw waste into horizontal baler through use of waste conveyor Tie off, package, and palletize completed rebales Dispose of all scrap waste bale materials (string) and other trash into trash dumpster Clean/sweep straw chaff around horizontal baler and waste conveyor areas Participates in daily 5S cleaning procedures of production floor Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 10+ hour shift At least 18 years of age Compensation and Benefits Starting wage is $19.05 per hour $1.50/hr shift premium = $20.55/hr for worked hours 401(k) with Company Match Access to Medical/Dental/Vision Plans coverage Flexible Spending Accounts Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Mandatory OT potential during busy season, OT Opportunities outside of busy season Paid Vacation, Holidays, and more!
