Job Description

Drive Into Your Future Career! Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the functions of the loading dock. The incumbent prepares bills of lading for freight carriers, assists in unloading/loading trucks and receiving auto parts and other tangible goods into SAP. Responsible for counting and recording merchandise to assure accuracy of shipment and receipt; performs related duties as required.
Responsibilities:
Complete and maintain daily forklift inspections and records. Professionally interact with truck drivers and client engineering personnel. Unload/load freight and Fedex/UPS packages while recording tracking information into warehouse systems. Unpack, count and verify auto parts and other products to ensure quantities and part numbers match supplier packlists. Report damages and discrepancies of any inbound shipments. Receive auto parts and general purchase items into SAP. Transport freight within warehouse to other areas using forklifts and pallet jacks. Load/unload prototype vehicle models (interior/exterior, quarter scale, clay models) including strapping/unstrapping vehicles from trucks. Handling and storage of some hazardous materials. Some driving of vehicles is required when transporting vehicles or parts to other buildings on campus.
Qualifications:
No prior experience required - candidates must be willing to learn and complete training, including forklift driving. 1 year of experience working in a shipping/receiving environment is a plus, not required 1 year of experience working with SAP application is preferred, but not required
