Job Summary Barrett Paving Materials Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction and asphalt manufacturing, is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Plant Laborer to support daily operations at our asphalt production facility. This role is responsible for maintaining plant cleanliness, assisting with production activities, and ensuring a safe, efficient working environment. Main Responsibilities Assist in the operation and maintenance of the asphalt plant and related equipment Perform general labor duties including shoveling, sweeping, and cleanup of plant areas Monitor material flow and assist with loading/unloading of raw materials Conduct routine inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns Support plant operators and maintenance personnel with tasks as needed Maintain compliance with company safety policies and
MSHA/OSHA
regulations Perform minor repairs and assist with preventative maintenance activities Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or asphalt plant operations is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Basic mechanical aptitude preferred Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to safety Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise) Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
