Job Description

Job description Overview We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator/Material Handler to join our team. We have openings on 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Shifts. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion lines to produce high-quality plastics material. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work on their feet for an entire 8-hour shift with overtime availability as needed. The Extrusion Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met while upholding quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate extrusion machines to process thermoplastic materials into pellets. Monitor and regulate machine settings, including temperature, speed, and feed rates, to ensure optimal production. Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and rulers to verify compliance with specifications. Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of extrusion equipment to ensure operational efficiency and prevent contamination. Identify and document any defects, surface variations, or color inconsistencies in extruded materials. Maintain accurate production records and report deviations or issues in the manufacturing process. Collaborate with team members and senior leadership to identify process improvements that enhance productivity. Follow all safety protocols, proactively reporting hazards or incidents. Support additional production tasks as required. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Forklift experience Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and technical skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control. Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented. Physically capable of performing labor-intensive duties in a production setting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
