Job Title:
Forklift Operator (1st & 2nd Shift) ($18.00/hr.) Job Description This role operates powered industrial equipment to move, store, and prepare materials and products within a busy distribution center. The Forklift Operator supports warehouse operations by safely handling inventory, accurately picking and packing orders, and maintaining productivity and quality standards across assigned tasks. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Apply Today! 1st - 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday) 2nd - 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m (Monday through Friday) Responsibilities Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and turret trucks, safely and efficiently. Load, unload, transport, stack, and retrieve materials, including from elevated storage locations. Perform routine equipment inspections and promptly report any safety or maintenance concerns. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times. Pick and retrieve products using pick lists, RF scanners, or system-directed methods. Verify product descriptions, quantities, and storage locations to ensure order accuracy. Pack, label, and stage orders to minimize damage and support efficient shipment. Maintain required accuracy and productivity standards in all assigned warehouse tasks. Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trailers as needed. Handle materials using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to support production and inventory control. Assist with general labor tasks such as sorting, assembly, and basic data entry related to inventory and orders. Essential Skills At least 1 year of recent forklift operating experience. Demonstrated ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and turret trucks. Experience with picking and packing orders in a warehouse or distribution environment. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Proficiency using RF scanners for order picking and inventory control. Experience with material handling, loading, unloading, and pallet jack operation. Ability to follow written pick lists and system-directed picking methods with high accuracy. Strong attention to detail to verify product descriptions, quantities, and locations. Ability to meet established productivity and quality standards. Basic data entry skills for shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in warehouse production, shipping and receiving, or distribution center operations. Experience with inventory control processes and procedures. Familiarity with packaging, labeling, and staging orders for shipment. Experience performing general labor tasks such as sorting, packing, assembly, and loading. Comfort working with order picking systems and basic warehouse management technology. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a distribution center environment with active warehouse operations. The role follows set shifts, including a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a second shift from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The work is physically active, involving standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, and operating forklifts and related equipment throughout the shift. Attire should be practical and appropriate for a warehouse setting, with closed-toe footwear and any required safety gear provided or specified by the facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
