The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse and distribution center. This position involves operating various equipment, managing inventory, and maintaining safety standards while handling materials. Duties Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials. Perform order picking using RF scanners and ensure accurate fulfillment of shipping and receiving tasks. Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety protocols while handling heavy equipment and materials. Assist in the training of new staff on materials handling procedures and equipment operation. Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory movements and reporting discrepancies. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. Proficiency in operating order pickers, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, as well as mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations. Experience with heavy lifting and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks throughout the shift. Knowledge of warehouse management systems to efficiently track inventory movements. Previous experience in construction or as a warehouse supervisor is a plus. Education High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years related field experience Physical Requirements Walking and standing for long periods of time is required Must be able to bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally Requires climbing/stooping/kneeling, standing/walking, lifting/pulling/pushing, fingering/grasping/feeling, writing, sitting, bending, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment Must be able to push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 500 pounds frequently Requires full range of body motion Requires normal range of hearing and vision
