Purpose:
Westrafo America is a new manufacturing facility specializing in the production of electrical transformers. We are building a high-performing team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for supporting warehouse and material handling operations within an electrical transformer manufacturing facility. This role includes operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are properly received, stored, and distributed to support production and shipping activities. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties:
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility. Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks in a safe and timely manner. Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy and damage. Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging materials for delivery. Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the company's inventory management system. Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits. Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and safety. Ensure raw materials (copper/aluminum conductor, insulation, hardware, steel, tanks) are properly staged for winding core, assembly, and tanking departments. Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and warehouse best practices. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager. Assist with general warehouse and shipping/receiving duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred. Prior forklift experience required; forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. Basic computer and inventory system experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift. Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.

On-site position at our facility in Trotwood, OH. Will require successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
