Warehouse - Receiving & Shipping Clerk

POSITION SUMMARY

Participate in the warehouse operations and activities, receive, process and issue warehouse stock; assure stock and warehouse facility is maintained in a safe, clean and orderly condition. To assure the company's financial and operational goals are satisfied by ensuring customer expectations are exceeded through the accurate and timely receipt, storage and distribution of inventory. Accomplishes goals in accordance with company policies, procedures, and strategic objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Receives, warehouses, picks and ships package orders in an accurate and timely manner. Operate a variety of warehouse equipment and vehicles Expedient, clear, concise, factual and all-encompassing communication of shipping status, including but not limited to shipped vs. non-shipped orders Utilizes a variety of records, files and reports to manage current stock and supply orders Maintains a clean work area to promote safety and orderliness Assists Accounting Manager with cycle counting process Completes any other work or projects as requested from the Warehouse Lead and/or Accounting Manager Follow all established policies, procedures, and directives issued by management Uses Windows-based computer applications Other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE

Position requires a regular work schedule (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm) with little to no overtime. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential element of the job.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent Forklift certification is required - training will be provided once hired Working knowledge of computers and operating various shipping systems such as UPS Experience with Windows-based computer applications Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions Ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, equipment and hand tools associated with the warehousing of products Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments based upon experience and knowledge to accomplish goals in a timely manner

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Must be an effective communicator on a professional level with both management and co-workers Strong attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years of age or older Must pass a criminal background check Ability to lift 70 lbs. throughout duration of shift Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time on concrete floor
