We specialize in manufacturing uniquely designed high tolerance precision machined components and assemblies, with a focus on continuous improvement, on-time delivery, and the highest possible quality and consistency.
Position Purpose:
The Material Handler primary propose is to ensure that all materials are delivered to the right place at the right time. The scope of this Job is: Receiving Material into the Viper Storerooms Moving materials throughout the Viper location to meet the scheduled delivery to the customer. Kitting Material for the Production Team. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Uses computer to enter records and maintain inventory records. Obtain and execute directions from the Logistics Supervisor. Add to and pull materials from stock as dictated by individual job requirements. Delivers materials based off a daily scheduled route. Ability to accurately Cycle Count Materials Ability to clearly communicate issues that arise and require help form the Purchasing Team, Sales Order Team, Planning Team and Production Team. Takes part in the execution of year-end inventory. Other duties as assigned.
Quality:
Verifies accuracy of material against documentation. Practice First In-First Out (FIFO) policy with all materials being issued to jobs. Promptly and properly identify any non-conforming parts and move them to the quarantine area immediately. Ability to review ones on work to ensure that the work was completed correctly and accurately and resolve issues to ensure that the ERP system is accurate.
Customer Service and Communication:
Maintain the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Contribute to building a strong and positive team environment. Keep management informed of any concerns that may adversely affect quality or safety. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

The experience you have:
Education:
Required:
High School diploma or GED.
Preferred:
1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Valid OR driver license, clean driving record, as determined by

Computer Skills:
Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills in a MS Windows environment, and other software as specified under experience and or education sections above. Proficiency in ten-key.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to overcome language and cultural barriers. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the company Officers and Directors. Evidence of the practice of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands vary and will include:
  • Frequently - walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
  • Occasionally - kneeling, squatting, stooping, handling and climbing.
  • Lifting and pulling-continuously up to 15 pounds, frequently from 15 to 25 pounds, occasionally from 25 to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
The work environment for this position is that of an industrial machine shop/production facility. Employees may experience loud noises, (at varying levels) throughout the workday.
What to expect:
The Material Handler is a full-time non-exempt position.
Hours:
8:00am - 4:30pm $21-23/hr depending on experience
