Warehouse Loader

American Steel is looking to add a third shift Loader to our team. This position is ideal for a safety-focused, dependable individual who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse and industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing, loading, and handling steel products accurately and efficiently while supporting our commitment to outstanding customer service and operational excellence. All successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-hire drug screen, background screen and physical demands test.

Yes Teamsters Union 206 About the Role The Warehouse Loader is responsible for safely and accurately loading customer orders, operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are prepared for delivery according to company and DOT guidelines. This position is an essential part of our plant operations team and contributes directly to customer satisfaction and on-time delivery performance. Essential Responsibilities Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, spreader bars, chains, straps, and other material handling equipment Load customer orders accurately and securely to prevent material damage during transport Verify product type, quantities, dimensions, and special instructions on work orders Ensure proper weight distribution and loading practices in accordance with DOT guidelines Accurately complete paperwork and computer transactions within the STELplan system Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material tagging and piece counts Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and micrometers Assist with filling customer orders and staging material as needed Follow all company safety policies, operational procedures, and PPE requirements Work collaboratively with plant personnel to support production and shipping operations Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience required Prior experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes required Ability to safely work around heavy steel products and industrial equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Ability to read work orders and accurately follow instructions Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and on a third shift schedule Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift Ability to lift heavy materials and work around large steel products Must be able to safely navigate warehouse and production environments PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel toe boots required Why Join American Metals Corporation? Pay:

$23.50 - $27.26 per hour
