Job Description

Warehouse Clerk - Driver Scheduler & Check In Clackamas, OR Day Shift $21/hr. Job Description The Driver Check-In Coordinator manages the end-to-end check-in process for drivers at a busy warehouse facility. This role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions, updating systems with order information, and coordinating closely with the warehouse team to ensure efficient scheduling, unloading, and loading activities. Responsibilities Check in drivers as they arrive at the warehouse throughout the day and verify required information and documentation. Answer incoming calls from drivers and provide clear directions to the facility, including where to park and how to access the site. Assign dock bays and communicate detailed instructions to drivers regarding loading and unloading procedures. Update internal systems with completed orders and ensure all data is accurate and current. Communicate continuously with the warehouse crew regarding work orders, driver status, and any changes to schedules. Schedule appointments and deliveries at the warehouse and at client locations, coordinating times and resources as needed. Perform front desk and clerical duties, including data entry, document handling, and basic administrative support. Assist with inventory-related data entry and documentation as required. Handle high call volumes and simultaneous tasks, such as navigating systems while speaking with drivers, clients, and coworkers. Maintain professional and composed communication, including when handling difficult or high-pressure interactions with drivers. Essential Skills Proven clerical, data entry, and document control experience in a fast-paced environment. Ability to navigate internal inventory systems and Microsoft Outlook simultaneously while managing calls and other tasks. Strong customer service skills with experience supporting drivers, clients, and coworkers over the phone and in person. Ability to schedule drivers, appointments, and deliveries accurately and efficiently. Experience performing front desk or reception duties, including handling multiple phone lines and visitors. Comfort working with inventory-related information and basic warehouse documentation. Resilient communication style and the ability to remain calm, professional, and firm when interacting with drivers. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering and updating order and appointment information. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution environment. Familiarity with cold storage or temperature-controlled warehouse operations. Ability to multitask effectively while handling calls, data entry, and communication with the warehouse team. Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple drivers and appointments throughout the day. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in the office area of a cold storage warehouse. While the overall facility operates in cold conditions, the position is located in the warm section of the warehouse where administrative and check-in activities occur. You will work at a front desk or office workstation, using internal inventory systems, Outlook, and phone systems to communicate with drivers, clients, and coworkers. The environment is fast-paced, with frequent driver arrivals, phone calls, and coordination with the warehouse crew throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
