Truck Loader/Driver

Job Title:

Truss Plant Loader Role:

The Truss Plant Loader is responsible for staging completed trusses, efficiently and safely loading trusses onto delivery trucks, and securing the trusses to the truck for safe transport to the jobsite. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively with the production and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Requirements:

Must have CDL-Class A § 18 years of age or greater § Can move and stack lumber up to 20' for extended periods § Can lift up to 50 lbs. with bending, walking, and operating a forklift § Can be outside for the vast majority of working hours § Detail oriented This role reports to the Truss Plant Foreman.

Loading Trusses:

Safely and accurately load trusses onto delivery trucks according to order specifications and delivery schedules, checking quantity and piece count for accuracy. •

Staging Trusses:

Ensure that trusses are staged in a secure and organized manner, following all safety protocols. Verify that trusses are properly supported and positioned to prevent any shifting or damage, maintaining a safe environment for all team members. •

Quality Assurance:

Inspect trusses for any damage or defects before loading and report any issues to the Truss Plant Foreman. •

Securing Loads:

Ensure that all trusses are securely fastened to the delivery truck and protected to prevent damage during transit. •

Equipment Operation:

Operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely and efficiently. •

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of loaded trusses and assist in managing inventory levels. •

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. •

Loading & Unloading:

Efficiently load and unload shipping trucks, ensuring accurate handling and documentation of packages and materials to prevent damage and loss. •

Warehouse & Yard Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and organization in yards and warehouses, ensuring stock is safely stored, stocked and easily accessible. •

Other Duties:

Respond positively to requests from Truss Plant Foreman and perform well other duties as needed.

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
