POSITION OVERVIEW
To transport and inventory finished products in accordance with company and
FDA, USDA, ODA, OSHA
standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures. An ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where every day is different and have good attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receiving Responsibilities
  • Reviews daily production schedule with assigned assistant mixer and line operator.
  • Works closely with mixing department to stage ingredients to produce recipes. Pulls recipes , stickers and lot track sheet for the current and next day's production
  • Ensures products are manufactured using Good Manufacturing Practices and that Allergen and HACCP principles are utilized.
  • Follow documented procedures for Lot Tracking and coordinate efforts with Inventory Control personnel.
  • Provides product to the lines, as well as takes finished product from the lines and delivers it to the proper locations. Shipping Responsibilities
  • Understands how a shipping warehouse functions and where the inventory is located. Utilizing tools to help contribute to the organization of the warehouse.
  • Able to read and process pick tickets to stage orders for customers.
  • Make time for "will call" orders where a customer may come in at any time to pick up orders. Operational Responsibilities
  • Help other warehouses associate with their tasks as they come up.
  • This can include changing forklift batteries, helping with large orders, cleaning up broken glass or fallen products.
  • Drives forklift trucks within safety guidelines to convey materials and products to and from receiving areas to storage shelves and other designated areas, including delivery trucks.

  • Participates in all Inventory Counts and Warehouse department projects.
Cycle counting process - running inventory by lot and filling out counting sheets by item Qualification Requirements and Skills needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential Job Function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months' experience in food processing or food handling.
  • Reliable and dependable; good attitude and work ethic
  • Ability to learn or be trained in new skills; alternatively able to assist with training
  • Ability to read and understand company policies or Warehouse SOPs
  • Able to write/compose memos, emails, reports, etc. as needed. Assists with updates of SOP documents
  • Proficient Mathematical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a team; able to take initiative during any 'down time' CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Certified forklift operator highly preferred.
This position is responsible for supporting all HACCP, Food Safety, Food Fraud, Food Defense programs and regulations by completing all Lot Tracking, Critical Control Point and Sanitation requirements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Beaverton Foods' documents and policies are written in English.
