Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill an Industrial Material Handler Industrial position with a metal recycling company located in Portland, OR. The person in this position will assist around the yard maneuvering scrap metal, sorting metals and performing warehouse equipment operations.
Pay:
$23.50/hrIndustrial Material Handler Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a sit-down forklift to maneuver scrap metal throughout the facility Warehouse employees can be assigned many different tasks, including but not limited to metal sortation, torch cutting, shearing, and using power and hand tools. Operate and maintain a chopper machine Sort various types of metals (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.)Industrial Material Handler Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions Ability to work in warehouse environment (dirt, loud noise, rain, sun) Must have at least 3 years of Forklift experience Must be mechanically inclined Must be comfortable working off laddersCompensation and Benefits:
$23.50/hour starting with an additional raise within six months Union position (Kaiser medical) Yearly pay raisePension Schedule:
Monday- Friday Day shift
- 6:00am
- 2:30pm or 7:00am
- 3:30pm This position requires a background check and drug screening (test doesn't include THC).
