Job Description

At KWS Seeds, LLC , we are driven by our passion for agriculture and innovation. We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Operator to join our team in Tangent, Oregon . This is a hands on role where you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across our operations. The purpose of this position is to support activities related to shipping and receiving within the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Support receiving harvest, staging for various processing operations, and picking and shipping of product. Perform inventory counts ensuring inventory accuracy. Support receiving and distribution of goods to all departments. Accurately follow the processes including required maintaining proper documentation. Ensure package quality standards are met or exceeded. Cross-train in other positions to meet business demands. Operate various inventory, warehousing, and shipping system programs. Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed. Wear Personal Protective Equipment as needed. Ensure Company handbook, Rules, Guidelines and Procedures and safety policies are followed and personal protective equipment is used correctly. Regularly operate a forklift. Occasionally travel and/or drive on behalf of the business. Meet attendance requirements. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid driver's license. Able to become forklift certified. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer and math skills.

Ability to use multiple inventory/warehousing/shipping system programs General working and mechanical knowledge
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as needed. Work in high and precarious places and able to cover multiple areas including staircases safely and quickly. Able to work in varied environmental conditions (loud, hot, cold, dusty, damp, etc). Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed (including weekend, night shift, and holidays). Ability to work individually and within a team setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms able to bend/twist. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
