Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic distribution center team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount. The Warehouse Associate will contribute significantly to maintaining smooth warehouse workflows, supporting manufacturing processes, and delivering exceptional service in shipping and receiving functions. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently. Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, data entry into warehouse management. Perform order picking with precision to ensure timely order fulfillment for shipping. Support warehouse distribution tasks by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean work environment compliant with OSHA standards. Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance. Handle heavy lifting and materials handling tasks required for manufacturing or construction-related projects. Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and inventory accuracy. Maintain detailed records of inventory movements using systems such as AS400 or other warehouse management tools. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management, stock control, and distribution processes. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control software like AS400. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse environments. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift. Previous experience with order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and materials handling preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory documentation. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors. Experience working in manufacturing or construction-related warehouses is a plus.
