Warehouse Worker

We are hiring warehouse workers to join our warehouse shipping or receiving departments in Philadelphia, PA 19120. Applicants must have good communication skills, be engaged and responsible individuals interested in developing their warehouse career. Working hours are 8 AM - 4 PM under the day to day guidance of the shipping/receiving manager.

Responsibilities:

Load/unload trucks full of packages from loading dock either manually or with the help of a pallet jack. Scan & carefully unpack packages received without damaging the contents & place its contents into bins on belt for further processing. Discard empty packaging and boxes appropriately, keep the workplace clean. Pick items by scanning the product bar codes. Place bins of items on the conveyor to the packing stations. Report any product defects to the supervisor on site. Empty baler when full onto disposable skit and place in appropriated location. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (must provide documentation). Ability to read and write in English. Work permit in the USA. Legible handwriting. Attention to detail. Must be at least 18 years old. Experience with forklifts is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to read computer screens, manuals and other documents. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. This position requires frequent heavy lifting. Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Desired Experience:

Six months to a year of shipping or warehouse related experience.
