Full Job Description Position Overview:
Ensuring materials are supplied where and when they are needed. Among other tasks, responsible for keeping workstations fully stocked with materials, ultimately contributing to overall higher productivity of production operations. We are currently seeking a variety a Material Handler / Water Spider to support our Electrical Wiring Dept.
Location:
Benshaw, 615 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm Job Responsibilities Responsible for keeping workstations fully stocked with materials, tools, and supplies needed for production. Move materials, parts, and tools from one location to another, ensuring they are readily available when needed. Perform daily cycle counts of materials, to ensure that materials are in their proper locations and identify any missing or misclassified inventory. Identify and remove waste materials or inefficiencies from the production process. Proactive in identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or issues in the workflow. Communicate with team members and management about material needs, shortages, or potential issues. Assist in various tasks to support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the production process. Performs other duties including but not limited to- Returning stock to warehouse, assisting receiving department, and general warehouse function Ability and willingness to complete other duties as assigned. This role involves cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs. Qualifications HS diploma/GED Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required. Strong communication skills. Strong computer skills. Previous experience operating a sit-down fork truck a plus.
