Description The Material Handler supports press operations and ink room efficiency by handling inks, adhesives, chemicals, and related materials. This role ensures accurate deliveries, proper storage, and safe handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials while maintaining high housekeeping standards. Material Handlers also cross train in other departments to support production needs and help maintain smooth operations. What You Will Do Perform color pulls to support press approvals, minimize waste, and improve efficiency
Receive, unload, stage, move, and return inks, adhesives, chemicals, and solvents to appropriate stock locations
Mix, transport, and deliver adhesives and inks to presses as needed
Open, mix, weigh, and return ink drums to ink room and storage locations
Stage, load, and prepare hazardous waste shipments and maintain satellite accumulation areas according to regulations and Fres-co policies
Maintain housekeeping standards in ink and solvent areas to prevent accidents
Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records
Cross train in other departments to support production needs
Train new hires and support ongoing training of team members
Follow all standard work procedures, safety guidelines, and plant policies
Perform other duties as assigned What We Are Looking For Prior experience in ink handling, printing, or manufacturing preferred
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently while coordinating with press teams
Color discrimination and color matching skills
Basic computer skills helpful for inventory and documentation
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
Ability to follow standard work procedures and safety guidelines
Physical ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, lift a minimum of 50 lbs, and leverage up to 400 lbs using hand trucks
