Warehouse Associate

About the Role KC Elite Staffing is seeking a reliable Storeroom Warehouse Associate to join our client's team in Vandergrift, PA. This position is an individual contributor role based within a storeroom/warehouse and steel mill environment, responsible for receiving, handling, stocking, storing, recording, and dispatching goods while following established safety and operational procedures. This is a 3-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs. What You'll Do Assist with unloading trucks and receiving incoming inventory Put away orders and maintain organized inventory storage Support cycle counting and inventory control activities Load, unload, pick, pack, and move warehouse materials as needed Accurately read and interpret work orders, operating instructions, and safety procedures Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records using computer systems Provide excellent customer service and support warehouse operations Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or cherry pickers (training available if needed) Follow all warehouse and safety procedures at all times Experience 1+ year of warehouse, storeroom, logistics, or inventory-related experience preferred Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required) Skills & Aptitude Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn warehouse systems Forklift or cherry picker experience preferred (not required) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, and procedure manuals Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, fractions, and percentages Ability to work independently and within a team environment Self-motivated with strong reliability and safety awareness Comfortable working in noisy, dirty, and warm industrial environments Schedule & Assignment Details Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 3-Month Contract with Possible Extension Work Environment Position is located inside a steel mill environment Environment may be noisy, dirty, and warm during summer months Safety-focused workplace Dress Code & PPE Pants with belt loops and a t-shirt required Steel toe shoes required Hard hat and safety glasses required (provided by Vallen) Why Join Us?
