Job Description

Overview Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our logistics team in a hybrid role encompassing Receiving, Shipping, Warehouse Operations, and Driving. This position requires a strong commitment to organization, accuracy, safety, and teamwork. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our materials, tools, and equipment are properly received, stored, maintained, and delivered in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Duties:
Unload incoming shipments and inspect materials for damage or discrepancies. Ensure any damages are noted on delivery tickets and obtain exception numbers when necessary. Match incoming packing lists to purchase orders and internal material lists (Thelma). Coordinate with Purchasing on any discrepancies in received items.
Tag all received materials with:
Customer Name Customer Location Job Number Attention Name (if applicable) Stage materials in designated areas by job and ensure organization for future shipments. Update material status on the Thelma and submit packing lists daily to the Receipt of Goods (ROG) Clerk. Package and prepare items for return to vendors, including completing required paperwork. Notify Project Managers when all materials for a job have been received.
Shipping Duties:
Pull and verify job materials and tools for outgoing shipments using printed material/tool lists. Pack and secure materials safely for transport, ensuring all items are properly tagged. Load materials onto trailers, gang boxes, or loose shipments based on job requirements. Complete and attach delivery tickets or shipping manifests for all outgoing loads. Coordinate with Project Managers or Supervisors for delivery scheduling and method (truck, hotshot, etc.). Ensure all deliveries are documented with signed paperwork and turned in upon return.
Warehouse Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard area. Empty trash, sweep/blow debris, return tools/materials to their proper place. Assist in tool check-in/check-out process and ensure tools are in working condition. Secure all items properly for transport to prevent damage.
Qualifications Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Previous experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or delivery roles a plus. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes (certification preferred or willingness to be trained). Basic computer skills for updating inventory and printing documents. Ability to lift and move heavy materials (50lbs) as required. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Work Schedule:
Work hours are based on workload and may include overtime, evenings, or weekends to meet deadlines. Typical work day is 7:00AM to 4:30PM average 40-50 hours per week.
