Job Description
Job Overview:
As a Shipping/Warehouse Associate at our Electric and Gas Welding and Soldering Company, you are a critical link between our inventory and our customers. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient flow of products from receiving incoming shipments of welding machines, electrodes, gas regulators, soldering irons, and safety gear to packing and shipping customer orders.
Responsibilities:
Receiving & Put-Away:
Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or incorrect items. Compare received quantities against purchase orders and packing slips. Label and stock incoming products in designated locations following bin location systems.
Inventory Control:
Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Identify and report slow-moving, damaged, or expired products.
Order Fulfillment & Packing:
Read and interpret pick tickets, sales orders, and packing slips to accurately select products from warehouse shelves and bins. Pack orders with care, using appropriate cushioning materials to protect sensitive electronics (welding machines, soldering stations) and prevent damage to consumables (electrodes, filler rods, flux). Double-check order accuracy before sealing and labeling packages.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills for inventory tracking. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay:
$21.79 - $25.82 per hour
