Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet operational goals. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely. Perform order picking using RF scanners and ensure accurate inventory management. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and efficiency. Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper materials handling techniques are followed. Support warehouse management systems for tracking inventory levels and order fulfillment. Experience Previous experience in warehouse distribution or as a forklift operator is preferred. Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping & receiving operations is advantageous. Experience operating heavy equipment, including cranes, is a plus. Knowledge of mechanical systems related to warehouse operations is beneficial. Prior experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles will be considered an asset. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety protocols.
