Material Handler

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements Load trucks efficiently and safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement of goods Verify shipment accuracy against packing slips, bills of lading, and customer orders Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners (as certified) Maintain clean and organized dock and staging areas Coordinate with warehouse, inventory, and transportation teams to meet shipping schedules Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies or issues Follow all safety guidelines and company policies Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred Forklift experience is preferred or willingness to become certified Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures

Work Environment:

Warehouse or distribution center setting Exposure to moving equipment and machinery May require overtime, weekends, or shift work depending on business needs
