Warehouse Worker / Supply Specialist Job Description The Warehouse Worker / Supply Specialist supports critical clinical operations by performing a wide range of materials management, distribution, and logistics activities within a hospital setting. This role focuses on accurately determining replenishment needs, locating and selecting medical supplies, documenting and issuing inventory, and ensuring timely distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the medical complex. The position requires strong attention to detail, reliable recordkeeping, and effective communication to maintain accurate inventory levels and support smooth clinical workflows. Responsibilities Determine replenishment requirements for medical supplies by reviewing inventory levels and usage patterns. Locate, select, and pick medical supplies and materials accurately to fulfill internal orders and stock requests. Document the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment using established procedures and systems. Perform shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming shipments, checking packing lists, and preparing outgoing materials. Use RF scanners and related technology to record materials movement, track inventory, and update stock information in real time. Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts to verify stock accuracy and identify discrepancies. Perform quality control checks on supplies and materials to ensure they meet required standards. Package, label, and prepare materials for storage or distribution according to department protocols. Handle materials safely and efficiently, following established logistics and material handling practices. Use computer systems and email to communicate, document transactions, and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with team members in a hospital environment to ensure timely delivery of supplies to clinical areas. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with hospital and department standards. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. At least one year of related work experience in materials management, warehousing, logistics, or a similar field. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to perform recordkeeping tasks, including documenting receipts, issues, and inventory transactions. Experience with shipping and receiving processes and procedures. Ability to perform physical inventories and quality control checks. Computer literacy with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to stand on feet for the full shift. Physical ability to pick orders and stock shipments safely and efficiently. Ability to use scanners or scan guns to record materials and track inventory. Material handling and logistics experience in a warehouse or similar environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a healthcare or hospital logistics environment. Hands-on experience using RF scanners or scan guns for order picking and inventory tracking. Experience in shipping and receiving within a logistics or warehouse setting. Familiarity with SAP or similar logistics and inventory management systems. Experience with packaging, labeling, and warehouse inventory processes. Comfort using email and basic computer applications for communication and documentation. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and support colleagues in a fast-paced setting. Work Environment This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled hospital environment, working closely with clinical and support teams. The atmosphere is team oriented, with a strong focus on collaboration and supporting patient care through reliable supply chain operations. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The dress code consists of scrubs or office casual attire paired with sneakers, suitable for an active role that involves standing, walking, and handling materials throughout the day. The work involves using warehouse technologies such as RF scanners, computer systems, and email, as well as engaging in typical warehouse activities like picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Bluffton, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34000.00 - $41600.00/yr.
