Role:
Donovan Marine, Inc. is searching for a hard-working, self-motivated and reliable employee to join a friendly staff at our Charleston, SC location. The Warehouse Associate/Back Up Delivery Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities and timely delivery of goods to customers. This position involves managing inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Additionally, the role requires stepping in as a delivery driver when needed, ensuring that products reach customers safely and on schedule. The successful candidate will contribute to operational efficiency by supporting both warehouse logistics and delivery functions. Ultimately, this role is essential for maintaining customer satisfaction through accurate order fulfillment and reliable delivery services.Minimum Qualifications:
Pass a DOT physical with a drug screen (NOCDL REQUIRED
) High school diploma or equivalent. (Preferred) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record . Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 75 pounds regularly. Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving. Familiarity with inventory management software or warehouse management systems. Experience with route planning and navigation tools. Ability to work flexible hours including overtime as needed.Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, and properly store incoming inventory in the warehouse. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipments ensuring accuracy and compliance to company standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure safety and efficiency. Operate forklifts and reach trucks to move materials within the warehouse efficiently. Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies to management. Serve as a back up delivery driver, transporting goods to customers in a timely and safe manner when required. Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks before deliveries. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to coordinate warehouse and delivery activities.Skills:
The required skills such as attention to detail and organizational abilities are essential for accurately processing orders and maintaining warehouse orderliness. Physical stamina and safe lifting techniques are used daily to handle inventory efficiently and prevent workplace injuries.
