POSITION REPORTS TO
Transportation Operations Specialist
POSITION OVERVIEW
Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload material and move them to and from storage areas, and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND
 RESPONSIBILITIES Regular and predictable attendance Knowledge of all general plant safety rules and absolutes Obtains copy of shipping order and transports material to and from designated areas in the warehouse Loading and unloading goods Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates or loose rolls around the warehouse Stacking goods in the correct storage, following inventory control instructions Checking loads are secure Stacking empty pallets Performing daily equipment checks Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner Maintain a clean & safe environment May be required to use RF scanner gun Forklift certification per OSHA standards
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Forklift experience

Proficient with numbers

Onsite training to receive inhouse forklift license - 8 hours MACHINES, TOOLS AND

Standing:
 Ability to stand while working 30% of day
Sitting:
Ability to sit down 50% of day
Moving:
 Ability to move throughout plant 5% of day
Lifting:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. 5% of day
Ascending/Descending:
 Ability to walk upstairs, climb to top of range (approx. 16 ft) 2% of day
Push/Pull/Reach:
 3% of day
Bending:
 Ability to pick up objects from the floor 5% of day
Visual Acuity:
 Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. 100% of day 9. 
Cognitive:
 Alert. Able to make decisions, reason, and understand information. 100% of day 10. 
Pulmonary:
 Ability to work in cotton dust environment. Meet cotton 100% of day pulmonary function requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity level can be more than 98% for 100% of day.
SHIFT/WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands. 1st 
Shift:
 6AM - until the work is completed 2nd shift: 4PM - until the work is completed
