Position Overview The Weaving Material handler position is a non-exempt, hourly position responsible for maintaining the flow of product from Looms to Tentering while ensuring quality and labeling of the product. Also ensuring the product is properly uploaded to the computer. What you'll do Doff finished fabric from looms and transport T-frames to the tentering area in a timely manner Maintain loom operation by cleaning reeds and other necessary loom components Weigh, collect, and properly remove waste materials from looms Supply looms with weft yarn using electric pallet jacks or bobbin trees according to weave orders Perform continuous housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment Accurately complete required paperwork and production declarations Support production needs by performing additional tasks as assigned by the Production Team Lead or Supervisor Who you are High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to safely perform physical tasks including lifting up to 15 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 20-22 lbs, and occasional gripping up to 35-39 lbs Ability to perform frequent walking and occasional bending, standing, squatting, and reaching Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination sufficient for operating equipment and handling materials Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Ability to work independently with limited supervision and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment Experience or ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and handheld scanning devices (training may be required) Basic computer skills for completing production documentation and system entries Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate moderate to loud industrial noise levels Strong teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate with coworkers and adhere to company policies and safety standards What's in it for you?
