  • Florence, SC is currently searching for a 1st shift Material Handler.

As a Material Handler, you can expect to operate a powered industrial truck in a safe manner in coherence with promoting the corporate vision, mission statement, and core values. What you need to be successful at Opus Packaging Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents. Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Work safely. Previous experience in warehouse or packaging environment. Basic math skills. Ability to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometers, and other tools as required for specific jobs. During a normal workday you can expect to Operate Powered Industrial Truck equipped with lifting devices to lift, tier and load product into trailers or bins. Ensure the smooth flow of materials to various departments on the production floor. Operate a Powered Industrial Truck in a safe manner, following all rules and regulations that are set forth. Ensure loads are stacked properly for safe transportation. Be accountable for accuracy of shipping documents and verify that trailers are properly loaded while communicating with a supervisor about any discrepancies relating to orders. All other duties as assigned.
