Job Description

General Function The Warehouse Associate contributes to the overall success of Audio-Technica by performing essential warehouse duties and general maintenance activities. The Warehouse Associate II is responsible for performing advanced tasks in the warehouse environment, including receiving, storing, and distributing products and materials. This mid-level position requires previous warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to support entry-level associates. This position also assists with general maintenance and facility safety issues. Participate with the team to address building maintenance issues, office painting, furniture moves, and light landscape activities as needed. The Warehouse Associate II plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse and upholding high standards of accuracy and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving :
Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and discrepancies. Ensure all products are properly labeled and recorded in the inventory system.
Storage:
Organize and store products in designated areas according to established procedures and standards. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
Order Picking:
Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements and company standards. Verify accuracy of orders before shipment.
Shipping :
Pack and label outgoing shipments, ensuring they are securely and correctly prepared for transport. Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
Inventory Management:
Assist in inventory counts and audits. Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Equipment Operation :
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in safety training and meetings as required.
Cross training:
Ability to cross train with other warehouse positions to learn basic job requirements of each roll.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively with team members and other departments to achieve operational goals. Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers. Can support junior level associates with day-to-day questions.
Quality Control:
Accurately inspect raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished products, and customer returns by:
  • Following the established sampling plans and sample selection procedures
  • Performing acoustic, electrical, mechanical, physical, and visual inspections
  • Comparing items to established standards, samples, and documentation, including bills of materials, AutoCAD drawings, digital product photos, historical test data, and other reference materials.
Accurately document inspection and testing results, including but not limited to entering data into databases, forms, and spreadsheets. Communicate issues to appropriate personnel to initiate correction.
General Maintenance:
complete basic interior and exterior maintenance task such as office moves, painting, light bulb replacement, etc.
Other duties:
Performs other related duties as assigned by management to support operational needs.
Skills and knowledge:
Intermediate PC knowledge and working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems Ability to use UPS and FedEx Software systems without supervision Ability to maneuver inventory throughout the warehouse by use of pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks or other warehouse equipment. Tow motor/lift truck experience required. Proficient in basic math and the ability to perform inventory counts independently Physical stamina and dexterity vital for the work involving lifting and moving heavy loads Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs. and occasionally lift 75 pounds.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in ERP/WMS systems including picking and packing 2-3 years' experience in warehouse environment 1+ year tow motor/ lift truck experience required.
