Work Schedule:
1st shift 7:00am- 3:30pm Monday- Fri; Saturdays as needed
Over Time:
Required when necessary, some Saturdays (6am starts)
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring that production and operational needs are met efficiently and on time. This role is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of materials throughout our facility, supporting our mission of delivering quality products to our customers. Composite or Steel toe shoes required on Day 1. Safety glasses will be provided (excluding prescription glasses safety glasses)
Role & Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently handle materials, including receiving, storing, and distributing inventory. Load and unload materials from trucks and other delivery vehicles. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and ensure proper documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to production areas. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist in packaging and shipping of finished goods when required. Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Must have prior experience working with MRP system; operating a forklift and or Material Lifter (not a manual pallet jack) Basic math and computer skills for inventory management. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
