Job Description
The warehouse associate will be responsible for performing various tasks within our warehouse facility, including inventory management, receiving shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and meeting our customers' needs for product delivery. Receive incoming shipments of goods and materials Inspect deliveries for accuracy and completeness Verify quantities and quality of items received and record Organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations Assist with inventory control activities Maintain accurate records of inventory levels Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to supervisor Identify and report discrepancies or damages in inventory Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment. Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment and equipment Schedule downtime effectively for preventative maintenance tasks, such as servicing and inspecting forklifts and other warehouse equipment, to minimize disruptions and maintain operational efficiency Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment Familiarity with inventory management systems, procedures, and software Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively - minimum one-year direct experience or training and experience combined. Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasksRequirements:
High school diploma or GED Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis Must be able to stand on your feet for up to 10 hours Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are smallSimilar jobs in Summerville, SC
