Job Description

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is seeking a flexible, energetic team member who enjoys variety and helping people. Every item sold in the ReStore helps support Habitat for Humanity's mission of building affordable housing in our community. This position serves as a cashier, donation processor, and general support team member. No two days are exactly alike. Successful candidates enjoy staying busy, helping customers, and adapting to changing priorities throughout the day. Position Summary The Retail Associate / Cashier / Donation Processor supports all areas of store operations, including customer service, cashiering, donation intake, stocking merchandise, merchandise processing, and maintaining an organized sales floor. Essential Duties Operate cash register and assist customers at checkout Receive and unload donated merchandise. Provide friendly customer service throughout the store Greet donors and assist with donation intake Sort, clean, and prepare donated merchandise for sale Stock merchandise and maintain displays Answer phones and provide basic store information Assist customers with loading purchases when needed Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store Support daily projects and operational needs as assigned Qualifications Retail or customer service experience preferred Friendly, outgoing personality Strong communication skills Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities Ability to safely lift, move, and team-lift furniture, appliances, and donated merchandise throughout the workday Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer and cash-handling skills preferred Schedule Part-time Approximately 24-28 hours per week Some Saturdays required Employment Requirements Must successfully pass a criminal background check Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Enjoys working with people Takes initiative and stays productive during slower periods Is willing to help wherever needed Learns quickly and adapts to changing tasks Believes in Habitat for Humanity's mission Join a team where your work helps transform donated items into homes for local families.
