Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labor/Heavy Lifter to join our dynamic warehouse team. This vital role involves performing physically demanding tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials efficiently and safely within a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to safety protocols, and the ability to operate various heavy equipment and warehouse systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to smooth warehouse operations while developing valuable skills in materials handling, equipment operation, and logistics management. Responsibilities Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to ensure safe handling of goods Operate cranes and other heavy machinery with precision, adhering strictly to OSHA safety standards Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for efficient order fulfillment Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and condition Move materials throughout the warehouse using mechanical knowledge of pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment Support warehouse supervision in maintaining organized storage areas and ensuring compliance with safety regulations Participate in inventory counts, cycle counts, and quality checks to uphold warehouse accuracy and efficiency Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related logistics roles Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, RF scanners, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely and effectively Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of material handling tools and heavy equipment operation Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking technologies such as pickers Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and load & unload operations Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and long periods of standing or walking Construction or industrial experience is a plus for understanding mechanical systems and safety protocols Join our team today to be part of a vibrant environment where your physical skills make a difference!
