Job Description

SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC is a growing multinational supplier to the global appliance OEMs. With more than 70 years of expertise and innovation, we design and sell components and systems to the residential appliance industry (refrigeration, cooking, laundry), commercial refrigeration, HVAC, retail display and home/office organizational markets. More information is available on our website https://www.sswtechnologies.com/ The Materials Handler will help production workers by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all duties in a safe manner Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers Work overtime as necessary Perform operations assigned by Supervisor in accordance with Work Instructions provided for each line/operation Must be capable of handling heavy loads and driving mechanical equipment such as forklifts due to the necessary transferring around to various types of jobs Must move, manipulate, modify and / or assemble the materials to produce subassemblies or finished product from raw materials Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues Conduct final inspection to assure quality of pack and proper count Complete assembly of carton, i.e.: corner post, top, etc. Band as required to satisfy customer specifications Fill out log sheets documenting part numbers and quantities to be transported Must operate forklift and place packaged goods into inventory, and load and/or unload trucks Must sort and dispose of rework, scrap or returned goods including necessary paper work, scrap reports, or required daily documentation Notify maintenance department, Technical Services Technician and Supervisor of any process problems and fill out necessary work orders as needed Must wear all proper safety equipment required for each operation Must attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages Must use manual tools as instructed to perform work Must maintain a clean and safe work area per area 5S procedures May be required to operate computerized label printer and affix labels on correct pallets May be required to load, unload, and monitor the burn off ovens, as well as conduct a final cleaning of materials May be exposed to UV Light in Nano Department Other duties as assigned Help out as a regular production team member as needed from time to time.
Position Supervised or Directed:
Supervised. Qualifications, Experience requirements: Ability to read and interpret blueprints Must have valid forklift certification Must have basic math skills Must have verbal and written communication skills Must have attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to follow directions accurately Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
General Requirements:
Able to travel to other divisions when required. Detailed and hands-on oriented.
Working Conditions:
Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods. Manufacturing environment.
