2nd Shift Loader

The H.T. Hackney Co. is a Privately-owned, Wholesale Grocery Distributor that has served customers in our local area for over 130 years. We are looking for energetic, dedicated, and self-driven individuals to join our team in the Warehouse with possible opportunities for growth and advancement. We are currently accepting applications at our Johnson City location conveniently located off I-26, Elizabethton exit 24 at 408 Lafe Cox Dr. Stop in anytime to pick up a paper application at our front office for further consideration and review. Role Overview The Warehouse Night Shift Loader is responsible for physically preparing, verifying, and securing outgoing freight into delivery trucks. The role requires a blend of heavy manual labor, equipment operation, and strict attention to safety and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities Truck Preparation & Inspection:

Ensuring delivery trailers are clean, undamaged, and set to the correct temperature before loading.

Loading & Stacking:

Manually lifting and stacking heavy boxes or totes (often 30 to over 50 lbs) to ensure safe, stable transit.

Order Verification:

Checking loaded cargo against dispatch manifests, routing sheets, and barcodes to guarantee order accuracy. This will be done with a RF scanner.

Equipment Operation:

You may be required to operate electric pallet jacks to load and maneuver product accordingly. Training for this will be conducted on site.

Safety & Compliance:

Maintaining a hazard-free loading dock, identifying damaged inventory, and adhering to OSHA and company safety guidelines. Work Schedule Sunday - Thursday 4:00 pm start time until all trucks are loaded and ready for next day deliveries. This is a full-time position and the shift length depends on sales volume.
