Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Laborer to join our team! The General Laborer will assist in various tasks, including warehouse operations, material handling, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move and stack materials, supplies, and products throughout the warehouse and designated areas.
- Unload trucks and containers at the dock using a forklift or other appropriate equipment.
- Safely load and unload materials, ensuring appropriate storage and stacking techniques are employed to prevent damage or product loss.
- Perform general labor duties, including but not limited to lifting heavy items, packaging, repackaging, labeling, and organizing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards to provide exceptional service and meet customer satisfaction goals.
- Forklift certification preferred, but not required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely and repetitively.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness skills to operate a forklift in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Solid communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Strong focus on safety, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
